Phoenix Custom Restoration was opened in 2017 by Jack Welsh. After completing his panel beating apprenticeship in 2012 he quickly moved into the restoration side of the industry so he could learn the old skills of metal shaping, gas welding and lead wiping to name a few. Fast forward 5 years and after working with some great tradesmen and also working in shops where quality of work and customer satisfaction were not priorities, Jack decided to take the plunge and work for himself focusing on rust repairs & body work with the goal to provide his customers with honesty & high quality work throughout the restoration process, something that can be hard to find these days.

After an extremely busy first 2 years of business and with more and more work coming in the door we quickly outgrew our 200sqm workshop and in late 2019 we moved in to a 500sqm+ workshop which was formerly Custom & Classic cars. The owner & staff of Custom & Classic cars were friends and former mentors of Jacks and were very well known for producing high quality work. So the transition into this fully equiped workshop and adding their staff to the PCR team was a perfect fit. 

Jack has been fortunate enough to attend training courses with some of the best coach builders, metal shapers & body workers in Australia to make sure that we can produce the best quality of work possible. Phoenix Custom Restorations is now a team that have over 40 years combined experience in the restoration industry, producing high quality work that we are proud to give to our clients.
